Have you ever suffered from a candida infection?

Question: Have you ever suffered from a candida infection?

(Posted by: G on 2010-05-25 14:55:32)

I have suffered for over a year, long story short. I am a male who had a sexual encounter with a high risk partner, a small symptom scared me and I went to the emergency room and was treated with a HUGE dosage of antibiotics. Broke out in a crazy itch, and was tested for every testable STD multiple times. During this time i saw different doctors, who each gave me a set of different antibiotics - so in turn I abused antibiotics for months. Symtoms - urethral pain 6 months Itch in the anus/ testicles 10 + months Abdominal pain (liver area) Color issues with the head of the penis - red splotches. White tongue Luckily I had insurance for the last 10 months- I probably billed them 10's of thousands of dollars. I ended up spending a couple grand myself. I am now at my 1 year mark, and my doctor has been treating me with probiotics and Nystatin for the last 3 months with some minor progress. I dont have insurance and for about $420 dollars I could get the OAT test, which measures levels of candida for an additional 270 dollars I could get a full STD scan at my 1 year mark.. a total of $690 dollars. That is a lot of money... has any one out there suffered from a Candida infection? Should I spend the extra money to get it all tested?

Well, there are sites that you can check symptoms for candida - there is a cure for candida, you take can-sol (as directed on bottle) and do a 15 day diet all fresh fruits and veggies, no canned juice, meat, dairy, wheat, etc.. If you just order the can-sol, take it as directed, if there is a lot of fungus in your system - NOT just candida, on Day 2 or 3 you'll start to feel like crap (from the toxins released). Make sure during that time no mushrooms, all fruits and veggies, etc.. Can-sol shouldn't hurt you. It will kill all the fungus in your gut. Take a good probiotic frequently, and try to move your bowels 2 or 3 times a day. It is worth it to consult a good herbalist, they should be able to look at your symptoms and find something to help you - mind, make sure to find a reputable one. They will be a lot less expensive than the tests. Your problem could be yeast, not just candida. Knowing what STDs you have also won't cure you of them. Herbs can cure, in some cases. Try a master herbalist or one who specializes in your conditions. Good luck.
